Cars at the Station 2024
The Cars at the Station event on September 13, 2024, outside Michigan Central Station was a fantastic showcase of automotive passion, and Mobsteel was proud to be part of it. Partnering with Hagerty and Radwood, we brought our classic Lincolns to the FOXXTECCA booth, drawing attention from enthusiasts and passersby alike.
The Hagerty and Radwood Cars at the Station event took place at the historic Michigan Central Station, transforming the iconic venue into a vibrant celebration of automotive culture. Car enthusiasts and fans gathered to showcase a stunning array of vehicles that highlighted the charm and ingenuity of both vintage and modern classics. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as attendees strolled through rows of meticulously curated cars, each with its own unique story to tell.
Against the backdrop of the beautifully restored station, the event offered a delightful mix of nostalgia and camaraderie, inviting enthusiasts of all ages to connect over their shared passion. From beloved classics to rare finds, the diverse lineup captivated everyone present, sparking conversations and admiration. Engaging activities, live music, and local food vendors added to the festive spirit, creating an unforgettable day for families and friends alike.
We had the honor of placing our Lincolns in the FOXXTECCA booth, formerly known as the African American Automotive Association. The African American Automotive Association (AAAA) is a vital organization dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion within the automotive industry. Established to support African Americans in automotive careers, the AAAA focuses on education, networking, and advocacy. It provides resources, mentorship, and scholarships to empower individuals and foster professional growth. By celebrating the contributions of African Americans in the automotive sector, the AAAA aims to inspire the next generation of leaders and innovators. Through events, workshops, and community engagement, the association works to enhance representation and ensure a more equitable future in the automotive landscape.
Chris Harris, founder of FOXXTECCA, provided a panel of automotive leaders at the NewLab building, with a massive display of their brand throughout the centers space. One of the coolest speakers was Cameron Carraway, a 14 year old future NASCAR driver and multiple Speedway winner.
Cameron and his family stayed through the event and then eventually had to dip out to make their flight to California for his race the next day. For kids to be able to see all that Cameron has accomplished sitting up on that stage is the kind of example Chris wants to make all kids aware of.
We had a ton of fun celebrating our community, catching up with old friends and making new. Thank you to Chris and Kelly for the hospitality and all they are doing in our industry, and thank you to our friend Jiyan for hosting the event. Looking forward to the next one!
